  1. Albom came to be in this state because he knows that he has tried to save an innocent person from the Cable Car No. 2. When he goes to heaven, he's shocked because he has no pain and no worry. In the book it says, “Where is my pain? Where is my worry?” He feels like he’s a little kid for as old as he is. He doesn’t know why he feels this way either.

Everyone’s story can be connected. No matter how little or insignificant it may seem at the time, and altercation it can influence or impact someone’s life. The story of Blue Man for example, he was driving his friend’s car and suddenly a ball came in the road with a small child chasing after it. Now there’s two pints to the story there, the Blue Man swerves and gets his adrenaline pumping and has a heart attack in an alley after he’s parked. The little boy retrieves the ball and goes and plays. One story has the great outcome while the other has a tragic but in that few seconds, just meeting someone ultimately changed Blue Man’s life.

Eddie’s first sensation in heaven was that he couldn’t talk. His body felt like a child’s because he was a child when he met Blue Man. Eddie is at the pier where he grew up at, and feels devastated that this might be his heaven. He’s astonished, amazed, scared, and confused. This is because he doesn’t know what’s going on and doesn’t know if he’s really dead or not.

    5 examples of onomatopoeias
-Eddie lowered the lap bar and clack-clack-clack, up they went.
-Whrrrsssh. What was shingles? Whrrrsssh. Sixteen minutes to live.
    - “-do it, I didn’t want to do i-” Spllllaaaaashhhhh.
    -”-me love you-” Eeeeeeeeee!
    - Whack. “Oww!”

  2. 1.Albom means this by saying that Eddie does not know where he is at. He’s wondering where is pain and worry are at. All Eddie remembers is saving the little girl from the cable car. He feels numb. He doesn't know if he is a child again because he can run around.
2.The story of the blue man connects in Eddie’s life by him swerving and missing Eddie but then suffering a heart attack and dying from that. This did not affect Eddie but it affected the other man. He’s amazing that something so small in his life made such an impact on someone else’s life. Eddie returns to the grass and continues to play like nothing had ever happen.
3.When Eddie first got in heaven he felt numb. He could not talk. He wondered where all of his pain and worries were. He felt like a child because he could run around and play. He hadn't been able to do that in years. He really does not know what is going on.
    4.Whrrrrrssshh. What was shingles? Whrrrrssshh
Eddie lowered the lap bar and clack clack clack, up they went.
    -me love you- Eeeeeee!
He tried to imagine actually shooting at the enemy. Pang!
Da da da da daaaaaaa The gaurds laughed.

  3. 1. Eddie exists in a "weary state of acceptance." Explain what Albom means by this statement and how did Eddie come to be in this state? Use examples from the book…

Eddie is in a weary state of existence because he feels nothing no more pain, anger, sadness, loneliness and the feeling of tiredness. it says in the book that he no longer felt any of this that he was confused because he knows he died thats the one thing he does know what he dont know is how come all the pains gone how can he be this limber and how is his knee not messed up anymore as if he was a child again its one them things where he felt like this shoulda been his heaven but didn't know why it was his heaven thats when he realizes the blue man who helps explain it all. hes the first person eddie met in heaven and he met him because the blue man died so eddie would not have to.

    2. Albom writes "No story sits by itself. Sometimes stories meet at corners and sometimes they cover one another completely, like stones beneath a river." So far, how is Eddie's story connected with another's story?

Eddies story is connected with anothers story because you can just run in to someone and just be in there presents a few seconds and u still some how in pact that person just like eddie going after his ball. eddie ran in the road to retrieve his ball witched caused a man to swerve which ultimately lead to the man having a heart attack because he had a bad heart and just had a heart attack. Eddie didn't know what he had caused so he continued with his day and had an amazing time. On the other hand you have the guy in the car he winds up in an alley all alone and dies a slow death.

    3. Using imagery and vivid language to describe Eddie's first sensations of being in Heaven.

Eddie's first sensation of being in heaven was wonder.. he wondered why he did not feel pain, where is his hurt, his anguish, his pain, nightmares, where was his stiff old body. his first sensation was of awe, and amazement, at the same time he sees that he is at the peer he has no idea why hed be here he feels kinda let down that this might be his heaven. he has a bit of fear in him about all thus he dont know how to handle it or what to think of it he fells helpless cuz he cant talk.

  4. Eddie has a wear state of acceptance because he is confused. He never thought that heaven would be like this. He never thought his death would happen that fast. The people in heaven he has meet are those he never thought he would. The journey on which he has to take to get to heaven has steps that he never thought he'd have to do. He is somebody and his life has meaning that he didn't know it did.
So far the authors idea or theory makes since it shows that every story does entertwin with other. Like Eddie meeting the blue man. If Eddie wouldn't have ran out in the road and almost got hit by the blue man he would have never died. He hardly remembered that time in the street but the effects of the time made a huge impact of the blue mans life like life and death.
Eddies first impression of being in heaven were very strange. He noticed bright color sterling around him. Cotton candy colored reds and pinks swirling. The park being empty but the description of the rides. How they are all original and so clean and bright like they were just built.
Zzap....car poles... Whrrrsssssh sounds of the waves.... Spllllaaaaasshhhhhh...more waves. Eeeeeeee! Songs . Chhhhhewisshhh. More waves.

  5. Eddies story is everywhere and it connects to everything. It's not really a story of its own but a story field with other stories. His story is basically mad of stories. He is a river and the rocks are th stories there are so many of them. He has tons of stories that are his and others. Everything ties together.

Eddies story has everyone else's story in it because he killed people and he is meeting them in Heaven. He didn't realize he even killed anyone. He is attached to all of them and he didn't even know it. All of there stories he was in and they are in his story. They are all connected in the long run and they know each other.

It was like nothing he said. There was no pain and there was nothing bad. He had no worry he was just there. He felt nothing at all it was like he was younger or felt better than he did before. He had nothing to do he couldnt do anything everything was just good. There was no problems he had to face.

  6. 1) Well what I believe he meant that he was in a state of bliss but at the same time feeling pain. His feelings all came to him atonce I guess you could say.

    2) We'll the blue man he killed by running out in front of his car chasing a ball and gave him a heart attack. His captain, he helped save from the crazies. He did things that either killed or saved the others. So our lives are more important than many think. Life is presious. It shouldn't be taken for granted.

    3) Magnifcant color, the blues, purples, and whites all gathering into the skys clouds. Mixing in a way that only God could have condemned. It would feel much in comparison to a sun rise, where the pinks, reds, and whites all mix into a vibrant pasture of love.

  7. Like his father before him, like the patch on his shirt, Eddie was maintenance at Ruby Pier. Many times he had longed to leave the place but things keep happening where he can't seem to leave. Finally he accepted the idea that this was his destiny and he was meant to be there. He's like a permanent fixture at the Pier.

The cable of the cart No.2 was unraveled by the pulley that was wedged by a small object that have fallen through the opening. That small object was a car key that Nicky lost when he put it in his jacket pocket for safe keeping. When Eddie ran in front of an automobile, he didn't realize the man behind the wheel was the Blue man. He also didn't realized how the transmatic incident cause the Blue Man to have a heart attack and killed him.

He could not feel any emotions that went with his death. He could only feel calm, like a child in the cradle of its mother's arms. The sky around him changed again, to grapefruit yellow, then a Forrest green, then a pink that Eddie momentarily associated with, of all things, cotton candy. He stood without a cane. He didn't feel any pain. He explored his body like an infant, fascinated by the new mechanics, a rubber man doing a rubber man stretch.

Clack-Clack-Clack- The noise when the "Ghoster Coaster" took off.
Whrrrsssh- The sound of a wave broke on the beach.
Eeeeeeeeee!- The children screaming on the rides.
Whump- The sound the carts were dropping.
    Oww!- The sound of hurt.

  8. All of the story's are connected with him. He does not remember what he did to people and how they connected to him. If you don't know the person does not mean you are not connected to them.

The people that Eddie meets in haven are all connected to him. He does not know how and why it has to connect to him but it does. For example when the blue man was driving his truck and Eddie ran in front of the blue mans truck, Eddie caused the blue man death because the blue man had a heart attack. Eddie meets the blue man in haven because Eddie is the reason the blue man is dead. They were not connect like family but in life they met and that's how they are connected. Most people are connected to others peoples and they never know about it.

When Eddie was in heaven he did not have any back pain. He was back at ruby pier when he was a younger kid. Eddie started to walk without his Kaen and slowy by slowly Eddie started to run like he used to run when he was younger. Eddie started to ask himself where was the pain ands here he was at. Also the sky started to change colors, from cobalt blue to charcoal gray.

Eddie lowered the lap bar and clack-clack-clack up they went. Pg 4

  9. Well eddies stories are completely different and when he meets the blue man at the begging he never knew how they ever met. But as the blue man told his story things started to connect and things happen all the time you just don't know how they happen because they happen in a blink of an eye. Eddie had a lot of people in heaven he had never really met. When he says story's meet in corners or cover them selves it kinda just means things come together at one point in life and stories connect by hearing another persons story.
When Eddie first got to heaven he had no idea where he was at then he realized that he is were he grew up. Eddie was freaking out and didn't really believe that he had died that day but the blue man was the first man he met and he explained everything. His first sight was his hometown and house and he felt young again and could finally run and be free.

  10. 1) Eddie works somewhere where not all people like him. The people he seems to get along with are the younger kids and some adults. Teenagers have never liked Eddie. Most of the teens think they can get away with everything and don't have to listen when they are caught. For example, page seven. "Off" Eddie said. "C'mon it's not safe." The teens glared at him.

    2) On page seven it talks about a story right after he says those few words. I'm assuming his story connects with the story of Nicky's. Nicky and his friends tied their keys onto their pants but on the last ride he threw his hands up in the air and the keys fell. When they got back to their car they realized that they had lost the keys.

3)"The sky was a misty pumpkin shade, then a deep turquoise, then a bright lime." Page 21.
He remembered Annie crying, the cart falling, and he could feel her soft hands. Eddie could lay picture it though. He could not feel and emotions.

    4) Owww, whoosh, pang, hmmph, aw.

    1. As Eddie realizes more and more that he passed away and is in heaven, he begins to accept this more and more. This is most likely what Albom mean by a wary state because, Eddie does acknowledge his death but he may not want to believe itor al least tell him self that it is not true.

    2. So far, Eddie's story is intertwined with the blue man. When Eddie was younger, he was playing with his friends when a stray ball went past him, and crossed the road. When Eddie when to retreive it, he ran out in front of a car. This car attempted to stop, but in his attempt, the driver ran into a truck and hit his head. He then died of swelling in the brain. The driver of this car was the blue man.

    3. Speedly, he was risen into the air. Vivid colours swirled around him as his disembodied self was propelled into the sky. He rose above buildings and clouds until, suddenly, he was dropped, as if from out of an air plane. The colours became more intense as he plumited to the water.... He then awoke in a teacup, on ruby shore.

    4. Whoosh, da da daaaa da daa, ahh, oww, ohh

  12. 1. What that means is that at the time, Eddie is actually in heaven. According to Albom in the book, there are a couple different stages of heaven before you reach the final stage. Eddie came to this state because he died, and is now in a weird state. Since he no longer has pain or worries, everything feels weird to him. Also since he is seeing and receiving help from dead friends and strangers, that also adds to it.

    2. So far, Eddie is feeling mixed emotions about the whole thing. Currently, he has talked to "The Blue Man" and has learned that he himself has killed him. Eddie has also talked to his old Captain from when he was in the military. Eddie's two people are connected in a couple of different ways. For one, Eddie knew them both within his life. Second, they both have came in contact and have had something happen to them from Eddie.

    3. When Eddie first came to heaven, he was overwhelmed and in disbelief. When he first awoke in heaven, his first instinct was to reach for his cane. But he then realized he was not like his old self anymore. He got up and his back was not hurting. He then started running. He hadn't ran in over 60 years, and was sprinting on his youthful legs.

Pg. 4: "Eddie lowered the lap bar and clack-clack-clack, up they went."

Pg. 10: "Whrrssssssh. A wave broke on the beach."
Pg. 11: "Splllllaaaaashhhhhhh. '-me love you-' "
Pg. 23: " 'Bang, bang,' goes Eddie."

  13. 1. Albom means that Eddie isn't afraid of death. He feels like his time had come and he spent all his life growing up. He accepted the way he was because he wasn't going to change in the time he had left on earth. " In, time he felt himself grayling and wearing looser pants and in a state of weary acceptance, that this was who he was and who he'd always be" He didn't have much time left so instead of changing he went on his way and did what he had always done. Eddie, after the war came back to Ruby pier and never went through with his plan to go somewhere else.

    2. Eddie's story is connected to The blue mans story and several other stories. Eddie killed The blue man when he was younger. Gave him a heart attack and drove his car into an alley way by running out in front of him. Nicky killed Eddie in some way or another by loosing his key on the ride that almost killed several other people and might of killed Annie as well.

    3. "The sky was a mistybpumpkin shade, then a deep turquoise then a bright lime."

  14. 1. Eddie was tired he had done all he could to save the little girls life. The crowd of people his aches and pains had all in a way became a blur. All Eddie was focused on was saving the life of the little girl and that was it. The last thing that Eddie can picture was having the hands of the little girl in his hands. He was old and he gave it his last stitch effort to save this little girl. He was not thinking about his life when he did this. When he was going to heaven he didn't hear the voices of the large crowd gathered around.

    2. This means that every story connects to another they all relate to someone or something else. In book Eddie meets Joseph Corvelzhick the blue man when he went to heaven. The blue man had die because of Eddie when he was a young boy and Eddie had no clue he had even killed the blue man. Eddie ran out into the street as a young boy chasing his ball, the blue man was driving and had almost hit Eddie. This sent the blue man into a panic making him swerve missing the boy then another car making his heart race in panic until he lost control hitting the back of another having a heart attack dying. Eddie had no idea what he had done, as a little boy he had only intended on getting his ball out of the road yet he had killed a man and had no idea.

3.Eddies first sensation of being in heaven was like nothing he had ever felt before. When Eddie had woken he sat up nothing hurt, he then reached for his cane and then came to realize he didn't need it. Eddie then decided to hop up he didn't feel any pain physical or mental. Eddie didn't feel anything he was no longer sad, happy, or worried he felt nothing. Eddie then began to run, he had not ran in forever, not since the war because of his bad knees. Eddie felt as if he was a child again limber nothing hurt and he had no emotional pain or physical.

  15. He doesn't fully accept that he is dead yet he doesn't want to believe it.
His story has been connected to the blue mans by the way eddies father knew him when Eddie met him and when Eddie ultimately killed him.
Eddie woke up in a teacup that was made of dark polished wood with a cushioned seat and a steel-hinged door the sky changing colors from a shoe-leather brown to a deep scarlet.

  16. 1)Albom says that Eddie's in a weary state of ecceptance, what he means by this is that Eddie is just going along in life and that he's not pushing to do anything he's just accepted what he is and he's content with that. Eddie became this way by getting older and working at the pier and not doing anything else.

2)everyone's life can be connected even if its as simple as just seeing someone in streets. But that can change your life. The little things in life matter the most and can change your life the most too. I didn't get to read all that I missed Mon. And Tues. But I believe he didn't know the blue man and it was because of the fact that he was a small part of Eddies life that didn't matter that t much to him.

3)First he felt wonderful he could walk and not feel any pain in his back or in his leg. Then he realized that he was alone and he is still on Ruby Pier. He ran and it felt great then he went into a theatre and found the blue man. At that point he felt different he was scared but intrigued and started to realize what was going on.
