  1. Over the summer me and my friends went frog gigging and it was a blast! The scary thing was we had to sneak right threw this guys yard and get to this pond. It was basically right out his window. It was so scary because you could see in his house. I was so scared but we did it and we even got a few frogs. It was the funest and scariest moments.

  2. The funniest thing that happened this summer was a fishing trip me and jj took. As we were preparing the boat for the trip, getting all the main things we needed such as checking light, oil, motor running, ect. We soon realized that the boats tie down needed some rope. JJS dad explained to us that the rope was in the milk barn and he would go get it. We heard him yell and we went to see what the fuse was about. A six foot monster of a black snake was curled up on top of the spool. After moving the spool the snake got inside of the spool and we spent a good 20 min getting it out. It was funny because Pavel never will go in the milk barn because he is afraid of snakes. Although we always tell him there are none in there.

  3. This summer was actually a really good summer. One of the main things that I did this summer was I got to go out of state for the very first time. It loved being able to see something other than what I am used to seeing. I got to go to Florida and I absolutely loved it. It is so beautiful there. The weather is absolutely perfect all the time. The beach is just so relaxing. It was probably one of the best times of my life. I also got to see my sister that I haven't got to see in forever so that was also a good thing! I am already looking forward to next year because that is where I get to go for my senior trip!

  4. one thing that i did this summer was do alot of roofing i think the worst place to roof was a 14 -12 that means for every 12 feet in it goes 14 feet up. i had to pack bundles up a 2 story ladder to the guys on the roof the ladder was strait up and doewn and a bundle of shingles weighs almost as much as i do it like 40 lbs from being my weight once we got it up there i had to pick it up and throw it up on the roof this was horrible and scary i dident not like that at all and they had to just tear off so i was packing close to 20 square of shingles. a day i was so happy to finish this church in boisdarc it took us like a week to do it it wound up being like an 80 something square we were all glad to get it done it was extincting

  5. I haven't really done much over the summer I've really just stayed at home listening to music hoping the days would pass. I really don't ever do much that's interesting i try to have fun and hang out with my friends. i had been waiting for school to start for some time though over the summer it allows the days to go by much faster. I couldn't wait to get back to OTC either it’s great getting to learn about a subject you like. Pretty much in short I've been waiting all summer.

  6. This summer has been a good one. I went out on the road with dad. I got to see parts of texas that I've never seen before. It was awesome, like unicorns. I even got to see Mexico!! Though I never went in it. Plus I never got to see people cross the border illegally. That was a bummer. Oh well, I even got checked to see if I was an American. In all it was a great week. Until I got Sick. Then it went downhill from there. Catey

  7. I had the best summer because I got to work with kids that I never worked with before. It was new for me. The place was called The Salvation Army. The kids loved me and got an attachment to me. It was sad leaving them but I will probably will be seeing them next year. I got to go to Florida with my mom and it was fun and hot. I got to hang out with my friends and go to rodeos and barrel races. It was a fun summer. I worked at the fair for 8 days and that was fun. So I was busy throughout the whole summer

  8. This summer consisted of a lot of volleyball. This is my last year to play so it I just want to do my best and give it everything. We started out with camps this summer in Branson. It was a three day camp where we played at different schools and churches. We did pretty good since it was our first time that we all playing together. Everyone is in different positions and everything has changed a lot since we got a new coach. I'm playing back row now so thats a big change because I have played front row for five years. Since I have played front row and now and back I can see where front row is coming from and it really helps me to know our strong points and our weak points. I'm really ready for this first game to see what it holds and how we will do under pressure in different scenarios.

  9. I think I am going to write about my summer last year. It was fantastic! I began to date my best friend and its crazy how close we are. He changed me to a better person and i changed him into a better person. Which made me believe, people can change. I learned from this whole experience and had a blast. I learned from a lot of my mistakes and he helped pick me back up and start back up. I have helped him with getting jobs and focusing. We benefit from each other and he makes sure that i get to school with all my work done like i didn't last year in school. He's straightened me up since then. So my summer consisted of me finding myself and who i am. So it was a pretty good summer!!

  10. Well, out of all of the options listed above, I think I'll choose my worst or least interesting summer experience. The experience that I am going to write about is summer weights for football. The reason for choosing this is simple. It takes up my entire summer, and I have to get up around 5:30 a.m. every morning. But there is something special about summer weights. Even though it is the worst thing ever, and all you do is go home afterwords and sleep as long as possible, I really like it and I'm going to miss it. If you ever see a football player after a day of summer weights, he'll be supper tired and probably in a bad mood. But the reason that I'm righting about this is because it creates character in all of the football players. When you are a part of it, all you want to do is run away and hide. But in all reality it teaches you to push through and look at the bigger picture. Even though I complained a lot about summer weights, I'm going to miss it after high school and all the people that went through the pain with me.

  11. This summer was full of good times and bad ones. But out of the bad comes the good and usually it’s the best “good” anyone could ever get. I can’t really tell you something that happened to me this summer that was fun, because everyday was a chance to spend time with someone or something that I know one day won’t be there. Now I know some people might see this and have no clue what I’m saying, but I do so just go with it. As most know I live with my grandparents what they don’t know is that since I was little my grandpa’s been sick more sick than I could ever bare and yet he’s still holding on. Whether it was cancer when I was 5 or a major heart attack that left him in cardiac arrest and legally dead when I was 7 or flatlining twice while having surgery when I was 15. To me there’s nothing more important than my relationship with my grandfather. Since I was little he has been the only father figure I have ever had and a great one at that. Raising me the best way him and my grandma knew, they gave us a home, a safe place after so much had happened and I couldn’t even begin to thank them for giving me the support I needed. Every single day that I have with him is a gift from god, But I know the day will come and my grandfather, my father, and the most loving man I will ever know won’t be here. So everyday that I have to be with him is a miracle and that is what I’m thankful for. My summer was amazing because I spent every waking moment with the two most wonderful people in my life and we made it to another day, another week, another month, another year. I will never forget the times we spent together and how much love he showed me. He overcame the hardships, he fought for just one last goodbye that turned into a “I’ll be here to walk you down the aisle” How many people can say that they can take a horrible tragedy and turn it into something inspiring and great? I know I can.

  12. My most challenging experience this summer was when my brother, Quinton, came home for a month. He came after school ended and was home for a month until he went to Air Assault school. It was challenging because I had been use to him being gone and me having the whole upstairs to myself. Also we get along a lot better not having to live in the same house. I slowly got used to him being home all the time but when I finally got used to it he left again. So it was challenging but and I discovered that I would rather have the upstairs and a bathroom to myself even if it means he is gone.

  13. This summer I did my volunteer at the Salvation Army at the daycare camp. I usually watch children who are older than 5 years old. Kelly, my supervisor, assigned me with children who are older then 5 years old. I was very nervous when I walked into the classroom. This was a big challenge for me. I didn't know if the children would take me seriously. The first couple of days I just observed the classroom. A few days later, the kids asked me to join in. I was accepted by the group. They knew I was their friend. They knew I was fun and trustworthy. After that the children and I bonded. They loved me and I loved them back. It was hard for me to leave when Springfield schools was to start. It was a most challenging and entertaining summer. I hope they remember me.

  14. Well Thai summer was by far the best! I practically lived with Jj and we played Xbox and hungout with friends about every night. I usually helped Jj do stuff or we just relaxed. Jj and I and out buddy Dallas josh and spence all went frogging and it was by far the best night ever just walking around ponds with my best buds. I wish my summer would have lasted a lot longer because every night was a new adventure just like josh huy taking us to this creepy house and frogging when we probably didn't have permission!

  15. My summer break was pretty fun for the most part. The fun part of my summer was going to football practice and hitting people. But when I was not at football practice I would be at home working in the garden or working on a farm for someone else. Everything was going good until my told me I could not play football no more because she needed my help after school. I have to help my mom at work doing the week. I was really mad because I just bought a football helment with my own money and now I can't even play football my senior year. But I guess you have to do what you have to do for family these days.

  16. In the beginning of the summer I had the privilege of going on a vacation with a few members of my family. Those people included my sister, my cousin, my grandma, and my grandpa. This vacation was seriously one of the most enjoyable I had ever experienced throughout my life. A few places that we visited were, The Corn Palace, Badlands, Devils Tower, and Yellowstone. The most exciting place for me would of had to been the Badlands. God's creations never seem to amaze me after what I had seen.
