PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BLOG RULES (I prefer to call them guidelines), know them and use them in all posts on the AGHS English IV 2014-15 Blog. Please comment below that you have read & understand the guidelines and reference at least one guideline that you will strive to uphold! Comments need to be posted by 11:59 PM on Tuesday (8/26).
1. This blog site is intended for classroom use but parents and/or guests are welcome to post at any time so long as they adhere to the rules.
2. This site does have public access. Please use use first name and last initial only (this might need to be changed on your next post) and do not include any personal information such as your name, age, address, phone numbers, etc. (nor those of anyone else!).
3. No vulgar or obscene posts will be allowed.
4. No disrespectful remarks about another student, teacher, or any person will be allowed.
5. Anything that could be perceived as a threat of physical violence will be punishable according to school policy.
6. Do not use this post to advocate the immediate violation of any law or school rule.
7. I will review and approve all posts before being published and I reserve the right to delete any post that does not strictly adhere to these rules.
8. Online journal entries are an assignment and will be given a grade for participation. As these will be specifically graded for participation, spelling, grammar, and punctuation will be given minor consideration. Make a effort, try not to use 'textese,' but focus mainly on exploring and expressing your thoughts.
9. Zero credit will be given on a deleted entry—it is the students' responsibility to check and make sure their entries have not been deleted and, as needed, replace them with appropriate responses by the due date to receive full credit.
10. All journal entry responses MUST be a MINIMUM of 5-6 sentences. Insightful and/or particularly thought-provoking entries will receive extra credit. Late entries get half credit. Do your own work. Do it on time. Do it well. And we will have no problems. :)
I will try my hardest to use at least 5/6 sentences.
ReplyDeleteI have read and understand the the guidelines and I will strive to to make sure input at least 5 sentences on all my blog posts.
ReplyDeleteMy summer was definitely one of the bests. From going to the lake, hanging with friends and family, going to team camp for volleyball, and ending my summer with a trip to Six Flags in St. Louis. Six Flags was a blast but standing in line with the heat was by far the worst part of the trip. My favorite roller coaster would have to be Mr. Freeze. You take off going about like 90 mph and then you go straight up in the air then back down twice going backwards and then frontwards. Although summer went by way to fast, it still was one for the books.
ReplyDeleteI have read and understand the rules. I will make sure that all my blogs willl have 5-6 sentences. And have no late work.
ReplyDeleteI have read theses rules. Number 3 be respectful of others. Understand their point of view and use uplifting language. Obesen language just makes you look dumb. There is no point in using it.
ReplyDeleteI have read and understand the guidelines you have set for us this year. Number four states that we need to respect other students and the teachers in the blog and in the comments that we make, and disrespectful behavior will not be allowed.
ReplyDeleteI have read and understood all of the rules above. I would have to go with 5 mostly because im kind of an angry person, im not afraid to admit it because im not the only person. But i think it would be good if i helped threats and physical violence get punished for those actions, because so many people are severely emotionally hurt by threats and physical violence.
ReplyDeleteI have read and understood all of the blog rules. I will make sure to always have my blogs done on time and will do what I am told to do. #8 says to make an effort and express your thoughts, so I will respect that and give everyone my thoughts/opinions on whatever the blog might be. Also, making sure the blog posts sent and didn't get deleted. That's why I will always sign in or do it on Google Docs so it won't get it deleted. All of these rules are understandable and I'm going to do my best to follow all of them.
ReplyDeleteI read it :) number 8 will help
ReplyDeleteI have read and understand the guidelines and rules that were stated above. One guideline that stood out to me was the last guideline listed. Part of it went like this, "All journal entry responses must be a minimum of 5-6 sentences...". Another part went like, "...Do your own work. Do it on time. Do it well. And we will have no problems". This guideline really stuck out to me because I felt like this was the most acomplishable of them all. And also, I will do my best to make sure that I do my own work, and that all of my blogs contain at least 5-6 sentences. And I will also try my best, but no guarantee, that I will do my best.
ReplyDeleteI will write 5 sentences in my blog responses and I will make sure it is school appropriate.
ReplyDeleteI understand the rules and will follow them.
ReplyDeleteI have read and understand these guidelines. The guideline I have chosen to uphold will be guideline 3 which is No vulgar or obscene posts will be allowed.
ReplyDeleteI have read and understood the rules for blogging. The number I will uphold is seven. It just says to make sure all posts are appropriate before posting and if they are not then you have to delete them right away.
